Mercy is seeking an RN to join the 4D Cardiac Surg Intermediate ICU team. This 28-bed progressive care unit provides high-acuity post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients.

You will deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes. Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 with optional RN student loan forgiveness; Mercy supports tuition assistance and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from a school of nursing (ADN/ Diploma/ BSN).
• Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Certifications: BLS certification or course completion within 30 days of hire.

4D Cardiac Surg Intermediate:

4D is an intermediate ICU otherwise called a Progressive Care Unit. The unit includes a 28 bed fully monitored unit. We provide high acuity care to critically ill post-operative cardiothoracic, vascular patients, and medical overflow. Common therapies seen on 4D are chest tubes management, lytic therapy, antidysrhythmic, low dose vasopressors, Bipap and high flow oxygen systems, insulin drips, and precedex. 4D works closely with Neuro Trauma PCU and ICUs for opportunities to cross train between departments. We are part of the Critical Care Cluster, which includes all ICUs and PCUs.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Additional certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
