Job summary

Riverside Health System Gloucester invites a registered nurse to assess and coordinate total nursing care for assigned patients. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans, delegate tasks, and document per regulatory standards. Weekend and irregular shifts are required to support patient needs.

The role requires a nursing degree (BSN preferred or ADN with diploma accepted) and an active RN license in VA or a compact state, plus CPR/BLS certification upon hire.

The RN utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. Responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age related needs of the specific patient populations served in nursing unit.
