Job summary

Riverside Health System in Virginia Beach is seeking an RN to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care within a multidisciplinary team. You will supervise non-professional staff and ensure safe patient transitions while addressing diverse patient needs.

Qualified candidates hold a Virginia RN license, CPR/BLS, and a nursing degree (BSN/ASN preferred). This role includes weekend shifts and adherence to RHS standards and quality goals.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or compact state (Active).
• CPR/BLS certification required at hire.

The RN utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. Responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age related needs of the specific patient populations served in nursing unit. Works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health system and facility goals and strategic plans.What you will doDemonstrates ability to assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population.
