Job summary

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our geriatric inpatient behavioral health unit. The role features 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with every other weekend and holiday rotation to support our dedicated care team and patients.

The RN will perform comprehensive nursing care for geriatric inpatients, assess physical and psychological conditions, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care

Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts required.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
Experience in psychiatric inpatient settings, restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention preferred.
Experience with dementia, cognitive impairment, depression, anxiety, or behavioral disturbances preferred.
Advanced knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorders treatment modalities.
Understanding of Trauma-Informed Recovery model of care.
CPR certification required or current.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to geriatric inpatients receiving behavioral health treatment.
Assess patients and develop individualized plans of care.
Administer medications and monitor patient progress.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to update goals and interventions.
Maintain a safe therapeutic milieu grounded in MiraVista’s core values.
