Mercy is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery 3W unit at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri. This part-time, 24 hours per week position requires clinical expertise in surgical nursing and adherence to patient rights and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team, supervision under licensed practitioners, and maintaining high standards of nursing care in a busy surgical unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure where duties are performed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing; supervisor experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Supports general surgery patients on the 3W unit during shifts.
