Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a part-time registered nurse to coordinate nursing care, provide direct patient care, and educate patients and families. This role emphasizes teamwork, clinical leadership, and high-quality care within our Nursing Professional Practice Model.

The RN will work rotating 8- or 12-hour shifts, with a schedule that includes every other or every third weekend and 2–3 holidays per year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• RN start date requires BSN within five years from start date.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills; teamwork; computer skills; EMR experience preferred; ability to work flexible hours.
• Current RN license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and provide direct patient care.
• Educate patients and families and manage transitions of care.
• Support professional nursing practice across settings and maintain standards.
• Demonstrate leadership through preceptor roles and quality improvement.
• May be required to drive a personal vehicle.
