Job summary

Highmark Health’s Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4 West – Medical Surgical Unit. The unit is a 36-bed ward serving post-operative adolescents to adults with diverse diagnoses, including diabetes and wound care, within a Magnet-recognized system.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, leading a professional team and ensuring safety, quality outcomes, and adherence to policy and care standards.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN license or multi-state license via eNLC.
• Preferred area of specialty certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Delivers and coordinates nursing care using the nursing process.
• collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Mentors and supports other staff; evaluates delegated tasks.
