Job summary

Allegheny Health Network’s 4 West Medical-Surgical Unit is a 36-bed team delivering comprehensive care from adolescence to adulthood in a post-operative setting. The unit focuses on diabetes management, wound/ostomy care, and other system-wide conditions, with opportunities for professional development within AHN Jefferson and AHN’s Magnet-accredited culture.

We seek a Registered Nurse with PA licensure (or eNLC) and a commitment to patient-centered care, safety, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Preferred: Certification in area of specialty

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Assesses human responses and plans, implements and evaluates nursing care for individuals or families.
• Supervises delegates and evaluates assigned LPN scope of practice as appropriate.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team to evaluate clinical care or health services.
• Promotes patient safety initiatives and quality improvement.
• Maintains professional development and adherence to hospital policies.
