Corewell Health’s Gastroenterology North Muskegon Care Center is seeking a part-time GI Office RN to join a collaborative team. Responsibilities include triage, patient education, medication management, and coordinating tests and referrals.

You will support physicians and staff to ensure safe, timely, patient-centered care. The role requires an RN with an associate degree (BSN preferred) and Michigan RN licensure, plus BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing Required.
• Bachelors in Nursing Preferred.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days.
• < 1 Year RN experience, Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone and electronic patient triage and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Educate patients regarding GI conditions, medications, testing, procedures, and treatment plans.
• Manage medication refills, prior authorizations, specialty medications, and biologic therapies.
• Coordinate lab, imaging, pathology, and other result follow-up.
• Assist with referrals and ensure appropriate clinical follow-through.
• Support providers with clinical messages, orders, work queues, and patient care needs.
• Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, pharmacies, and other departments to coordinate care.
• Keep accurate documentation and follow nursing, safety, and organizational standards.
• Participate in workflow and quality improvement initiatives.

Our physicians work in multiple endoscopy spaces performing outpatient procedures. Our space includes multiple subspecialty teams ensuring comprehensive treatment. About Outpatient Clinics

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. Scope of work

The GI Office RN provides clinical support and care coordination for gastroenterology patients, using nursing assessment and clinical judgment to support safe, timely, patient-centered care.
