Job summary

Kindred Hospital East New Jersey seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while coordinating with physicians, supervisors and interdisciplinary staff.

Discharge planning is part of the role. The position requires BSN or ADN nursing education, current state RN licensure and ACLS/BCLS where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have valid nursing license and be able to read and follow policies.
• Requires knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient age and condition.

Responsibilities

• Maintains nursing standards and implements hospital policies.
• Directs and evaluates nursing care for patients.
• Documents admissions assessments and care plans in the medical record.
• Administers medications using the five rights of administration.
• Participates in discharge planning.
