Job summary

Providence is seeking a Forensic Nurse Examiner to work in the Emergency Department, providing independent, comprehensive care to adults and adolescents presenting with acute sexual assault and/or non-fatal strangulation. Under the supervision of the FNE/SANE Supervisor and Medical Director, the FNE follows protocols and collaborates with the ED team to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed care.

Required qualifications include WA RN licensure, BLS certification, nursing degree, and at least one

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 1 year of Nursing experience.

Job description

Under the supervision of the FNE/SANE Supervisor and Sexual Assault Clinic Medical Director, with orders when necessary, from the Emergency Department Provider, the Forensic Nurse Examiner follows protocols to provide independent, comprehensive care to adults and adolescents presenting to the Emergency Department with a complaint of acute sexual assault and/or non-fatal strangulation.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 1 year of Nursing experience.
