Job summary

Riverside Health is hiring a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Lifelong Health Float Pool team in Newport News, VA. The role requires at least 8 shifts every 4 weeks, with at least 2 weekend shifts.

The nurse will work across two Riverside Lifelong Health facilities on the Middle Peninsula and starts at $46/hour with a $33–$66 hourly range. Under Nursing leadership, you will assess, plan and deliver resident care, coordinating with families, residents and staff to ensure positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) expected.
• LPN/LTC or AL setting experience preferred.
• RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties to staff according to education, policy and resident need.
• Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed.
• Develops, implements and evaluates resident plans of care.
• Communicates plan of care to providers, residents, families and staff.
• Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation.
• Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes.
• Utilizes sound judgment and nursing skills.
• Manages a typical nursing unit and respects resident safety and dignity.
