Job summary

Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC), part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is seeking registered nurses for a 13-week seasonal night shift.

RNs will work three 12-hour nights per week with a $1,500 completion bonus and shift differentials of $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends. The assignment is short-term but aims for conversion to FT/PT/PRN with Baylor as the employer.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program (RN) and licensed to practice.
• 2+ years of Med Telemetry experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Float Pool experience is highly desirable but not required.
• Must be able to pass Telemetry Test upon hire and maintain BLS.

Responsibilities

• Float Pool RNs provide care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, PCU and ED Holds.
• Unit ratios vary by unit and shift.
• Support ongoing education, development, and adherence to quality care standards.

Shift: 13 Week Seasonal Contract Nights, 3-12 hour Shift, 7:00PM -7:00AM, POSITION IS NOT SELF-SCHEDULING

PRN FLAT RATE AND COMPLETION BONUS OFFERED!!

Seasonal Commitment Information

• Full-time Seasonal weekly requirements are three 12-hour shifts for the 13-week contract (excludes 1st week of orientation)
• $1,500 completion bonus for meeting minimum productive time
• $51 Seasonal rate.
• Eligible for shift differentials. $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends. These are stackable (as applicable by time/day) so if you worked a weekend night, you would be paid $51 + $5 + $6.
• Weekend requirements are the same as regular FT- Rotating weekends
• The first week is Monday- Friday orientation.
• Although this is a short term (13 week) assignment, you would be a Baylor employee (not contractual, agency, etc.). The hope is that once the assignment is concluded, you will convert to a regular FT, PT, or PRN role.

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program

• 2+ years of Med Telemetry experience in a acute care with inpatient in a hospital setting
• Float Pool experience highly desired, but not required
• Must have experience with Med Tele candidates with insulin drips, stable drips, NIH assessment
• ED Holds experience
• Must be able to pass Telemetry Test upon hire
