Location: Ten Mile, TN

Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Registered Nurse – Float Pool in our MedSurg Department. This is a permanent, PRN position.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop and implement a care plan in collaboration with the patient.
• Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform clinical treatments.
• Document patient care accurately.
• Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams, including transfers and discharges.
• Educate patients and families tailored to their needs.
• Evaluate patient care effectiveness and address issues impacting outcomes.
• Perform role-specific duties such as entering orders, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Address patient care complaints through established channels.
• Advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred)

Licenses:

• Current RN License in Tennessee or a compact state.

Skills and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required at hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required within 6 months for Emergency Services and ICU
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Required within 6 months for Emergency Services
