Core Competencies

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care tailored to patient needs and involves the patient accordingly.
• Performs interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and other treatments.
• Documents patient care accurately.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient status to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and mobility.
• Collaborates across disciplines for coordinated patient care, transfers, discharges, and referrals.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Licenses: Current RN license in Tennessee or a compact state.

Skills and Certifications: BLS certification required at hire; ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months or upon transfer to relevant departments.
