The Resource Pool offers endless opportunities to expand your nursing experiences. By joining Resource Pool, you will gain skills to provide quality care in various units including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU. There are specialty tracks for individualized interests, such as Peds, PICU, NICU, M/B, ED Observation Unit, Inpatient Rehab, and Psych. Training in ICUs includes Cardiac ICU, Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Neurotrauma ICU, and more.
Flex requirements - minimum 24 hours over the 6-week schedule block
Orientation will require a minimum of 24 hours per week.
As a registered nurse, you are expected to deliver the best care and customer service, demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in every encounter with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues. RNs assume primary accountability for nursing coordination and individualized care for patients of all ages, utilizing delegation and critical thinking skills in a team-oriented, collaborative approach.
The RN's duties include, but are not limited to:
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school or an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain it. CPR certification, and as needed, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications.
Other: Computer skills for electronic medical records (EPIC). Successful completion of orientation and competency assessments. Ability to meet essential job functions.
