Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in Phoenix, AZ, to coordinate nursing care, educate patients and families, and facilitate transitions of care. The RN will support practice across settings within Mayo Clinic Nursing, demonstrating leadership in precepting and quality improvement.

The role requires RN licensure, BLS and ACLS as applicable, with opportunities for TN sponsorship where required. Flexibility for varied shifts and weekend coverage is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program or higher with RN licensure.
• If graduation from a non-accredited program, at least one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is required.
• All entry-level RN start dates after April 1, 2020 must provide evidence of baccalaureate degree within five years from start date.
• All entry-level RN start dates before April 1, 2020 must provide evidence of baccalaureate degree as stipulated by the degree requirement at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the coordination of nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Support professional nursing practice across practice settings and continuum of care.
• Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal and formal leadership, and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, and resources.
• May be required to drive a personal vehicle as part of the role and may involve TN sponsorship.
