Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Lake Pointe in Rowlett, TX is seeking an RN Float to coordinate care across units, following our nursing model. You will assess patients, plan care, and delegate tasks to the team while ensuring patient safety and smooth transitions.

The role requires a nursing degree from an accredited program, at least 1 year of Med-Surg experience, and BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience required.
• Have BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Focus on patient and family needs.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
• Create a safe place for patients, families, and staff; support emotional and physical comfort.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on care plans and health decisions.
• Evaluate and record learning progress and ensure smooth transitions between care settings.
