Job summary

Corewell Health West Float Pool nurses work on assignment, filling staffing needs across Corewell Health regional hospitals. Nurses follow the staff nurse responsibilities in the assigned unit and report to the Nurse Leader.

This role emphasizes patient-family centered care and discharge planning, with education documented in the health record. Primary location is Butterworth/L5 Grand Rapids area; shift is night 7:00pm-7:30am, 36 hours weekly, variable days, every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• BLS required within 90 days.
• ACLS required within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care with patient/family and plan discharge.
• Document education and learning in health records.
• Work under Nurse Leader guidance per Corewell Health policies.
