Job summary

Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas seeks a Registered Nurse for its Float Pool to deliver high-quality patient care across Med/Surg Telemetry units. You will work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with a focus on safety and outcomes.

This full-time role offers a 72-hour biweekly schedule with 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730), including some holidays and weekends, and a comprehensive benefits package. New hire incentives may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (California) or eligibility.
• Role requires delivering direct patient care and coordinating with care teams.
• Ability to lead and mentor Care Team within Float Pool.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient progress.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal care and support for patients and families.
• Take primary responsibility for patient care and guide the Care Team to promote teamwork.

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Patient Care:Deliver direct care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient progress towards expected outcomes.
• Team Collaboration:Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal care and support for patients and their families.
• Leadership:Take primary responsibility for patient care, guiding the Care Team under your supervision to foster a team-oriented approach.

As part of our site-based float pool (SBFP), you will have the chance to float among four major Med/Surg Telemetry units, gaining diverse experience while providing quality care.

This position is eligible for New Hire Incentives of $7k for full time.
