Job summary

University Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the UH Lakewood Medical Center Float Pool. The role involves providing compassionate care in a fast-paced float pool, handling acute, chronic, and terminal illnesses across various units.

The RN will assess, plan, perform, and evaluate nursing care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve the best patient outcomes. Responsibilities also include participating in committees, research, and education, and mentoring students.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Missouri RN license.
• Current BCLS certification.
• For PRN: at least one year of medical/surgical experience or one year in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients based on diagnosis and care needs.
• Plan, perform, delegate, and evaluate nursing care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for optimal outcomes.
• Participate in committees, program evaluations, research and education.
• Supervise and mentor students.
• Comply with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational requirements.
