Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson is seeking a Float Pool RN to provide patient care on night shift, working 36 hours per week. The role offers a premium sign-on bonus: $10,000 for Graduate Nurses and $13,000 for Experienced Nurses.

Floats to multiple units including ED, ICU, and PCU within Mercy Health System. Qualified applicants will have an RN license, a nursing degree, BLS, and a willingness to learn across Med-Surg and Acute Rehab settings.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Maintain current RN license in hiring state/compact; meet state board requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required or to be completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments.
• Ensure patient rights and confidentiality.
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Units you may float to based on experience:

ED, ICU, TCU, PCU, all Med-Surg units, and Acute Rehab.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
