Job summary

Mercy Nursing is seeking a Float Pool RN to join our team. You will provide patient care using the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process, coordinating care with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Float Pool offers opportunities across units such as ED, ICU, TCU, PCU, and Med-Surg, with 36 hours per week on nights. Premium night shift sign-on bonuses are available for graduates and experienced nurses.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (ASN, Diploma or BSN).
• Licensure: Must hold/obtain RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with other departments.
• Maintain professional accountability and adhere to Mercy Service Standards.

Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Units you may float to based on experience:

ED, ICU, TCU, PCU, all Med-Surg units, and Acute Rehab.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
