Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington seeks a Registered Nurse to join the RN Float Pool. You will provide patient care across multiple units using the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Active RN license in Missouri or compact license (must meet state board requirements).
• 1+ year RN experience preferred.
• BLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per Mercy Nursing Practice Model.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Rotate across units: ED, ICU, Cardiac Telemetry, Med-Surg adults, Med-Surg adults & Peds.

Float Pool RNs rotate across the following units:

• Emergency Department
• ICU
• Cardiac Telemetry
• Medical-Surgical - (Adults)
• Medical-Surgical - (Adults & Peds)

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Licensure: Active RN license in Missouri or compact license (must meet state board requirements)
• Experience: 1+ year RN experience preferred
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required within 30 days of hire
  • Depending on assignment, may also require:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Physical Requirements:
  • Able to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting throughout shifts
