Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN is interviewing candidates for our RN Float Pool Critical Care opening. You will provide direct patient care across ICU and ER settings, administer medications, monitor patients, and coordinate discharge planning with the care team.

The role requires RN licensure (TN or compact), BLS, and ACLS within 6 months of hire. One year of RN experience is required, with ICU/ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire or transfer from non ICU area.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• One year of RN experience required.
• ICU and/or ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs.
• Provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

CriticalCare Float Nurse

Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The Registered nurseis responsible forcollaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families.Daily responsibilities of the Registered nurse include but are not limitedto:assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.

What you will do in this role:

• You will administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, andmonitorvital signs.

• You will provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients.

• You will serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• You willmonitor, record, and communicate patient condition asappropriate utilizingcomputerized documentation systems.

• You will assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team.

What qualifications you will need:
