Responsibilities

• The Float RN must adapt to all inpatient acute units and be able to build relationships quickly with patients, coworkers, and physicians.
• This Registered Nurse is responsible for providing a wide variety of professional nursing services focused on delivering quality patient care consistent with hospital standards, values, regulatory requirements, and scope of practice.
• Work includes developing, implementing, and assessing the patient plan of care during the stay in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and the patient/family.
• Engaged in direct patient care, including assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating, and delegating work to the patient care team, as well as providing education and consultation to patients, families, physicians, and staff for optimal care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 6 months RN experience required.
• One year of related work in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Washington State, BLS certification, ACLS within one year of hire.
• Specialty certification is strongly preferred.
