UF Health St. Johns is seeking a Registered Nurse Float III to provide individualized nursing care across Med Surg and Critical Care areas.

The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and patient education in line with nursing standards. Qualified candidates hold a Florida RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications and have 3 years of acute care nursing experience; 5+ years of CC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing.
• 3 years of acute care nursing experience.
• 5+ years of critical care experience preferred.
• Florida RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and complete patient assessments and update care plans.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, administer medications and support basic needs.
• Attend rounds with physicians and implement orders.
• Provide concise bedside reports to oncoming staff.
• Maintain supply inventories and proper charging of equipment.
• Obtain and verify consent forms.
• Supervise and assign tasks to nursing staff on unit.
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies.
• Evaluate and document pain levels and relief effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families on pain management.
• Document QA and adherence to hospital standards.
