Job summary

UF Health St. Johns is seeking a Registered Nurse Float I to provide individualized nursing care across ICU, CVU, and Med/Surg units. This role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and patient education within established nursing practices.

The RN will participate in rounds, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and ensure safety and comfort. Prior acute care experience is preferred, with CCU experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required.
• 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Candidates may have experience in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and update plans of care.
• Administer medications and provide patient comfort and safety.
• Attend rounds and communicate patient status on shift change.
• Manage supplies and equipment and maintain inventory levels.
• Educate patients and families on pain management and care.
