Job summary

Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Float in Commerce Township, Michigan. The RN will join the Patient Care Services Team, provide nursing care, collaborate with physicians and the health care team, and support leadership responsibilities in a dynamic hospital setting.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, independent judgment, and effective communication to ensure high-quality outcomes and a positive work environment for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as an RN in Michigan required.
• AHA BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities.
