Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled RN First Assistant to deliver safe, family-centered perioperative care across all patient populations. The role includes acting as an RN first assistant and, when needed, as a circulator, with a focus on credentialing, privileges, and continuous competency.

Minimum requirements include an RN with Georgia licensure, completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, and CNOR/BLS certifications. CVOR experience is preferred; sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing with RN licensure in Georgia.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program.
• Minimum 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience; CVOR requires 3 years as RN/RNFA.
• CNOR certification and BLS certification are required.
• Preferred: RN First Assistant (CRNFA), ACLS, PALS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative services.
• Function as RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures and as RN circulator when needed.
• Maintain scope of practice credentials, privileges, experience, education and competency verification.
