Mercy Hospital Washington seeks an experienced Operating Room RN – First Assistant to deliver high-quality perioperative care. This role requires coordinating patient care with other departments, assuring patient rights, and guiding and evaluating the care team as part of Mercy’s mission and standards.

• RN license in Missouri; current or temporary permit.
• Minimum 2 years intraoperative scrub and circulating nurse experience; 3+ years preferred.
• CNOR and RN-FA certifications required within 1 year; CNOR/CRNFA preferred.

Position Overview

The Operating Room RN – First Assistant utilizes the nursing process to deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. This role includes:

Qualifications

Licensure

• Current RN Temporary Permit or RN License in the State of Missouri

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of intraoperative experience as both scrub and circulating nurse
• 3+ years preferred

Certifications

• BLS/ACLS – required within 1 year of hire
• CNOR & RN-First Assistant certification required within 1 year
• Preferred Certifications: CNOR, CRNFA

Education

• BSN preferred
