Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support physicians in the clinic, hospital, and OR settings. The RNFA will play a critical role in patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure top-tier medical care throughout the patient treatment process.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of RNFA experience, alongside the necessary nursing certifications. The position offers full-time hours with a schedule of M-F from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of previous nursing experience.
• Two years or more of RNFA experience; CVOR experience highly preferred.
• The candidate must be a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-surgical evaluations and focused nursing assessments.
• Assist surgeons during operations.
• Help manage patients with other healthcare professionals.
• Assist with patient discharge and coordinate with community resources.

Skills

Effective communication abilities

In-depth understanding of operating room proceedings

Ability to collaborate efficiently with all hospital departments

Detailed knowledge about patient procedures in a clinic environment

Proficiency in working collaboratively with all office staff members

Education

Successful completion of a recognized Nursing program

Registered Nurse certification

RN-First Assistant certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
