Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join a collaborative surgical team. You’ll work side-by-side with surgeons to provide exceptional perioperative care and support patients before, during, and after surgery.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold active RN licensure in Missouri, and have perioperative nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)

Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licensure:

Active RN licensure in the state of practice.

Experience:

Must have a minimum of perioperative nursing experience.

Certifications:

CNOR and RN-First Assistant class required within one year of hire/transfer. BLS/ACLS required within first year.

Other:

Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing.

Preferred:

CNOR Certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
