Mercy is seeking a Full-Time RN - First Assistant to join their Operating Room team in St. Louis. The role involves supporting surgeons during operations and requires a current RN license, intraoperative experience, and specific certifications. Mercy OR handles a variety of cases including Orthopedics, Neurology, and General Services. RNs are typically assigned to one of these specialty pods, with opportunities to cross-train in other areas.
Proposed Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts, Four 10-hour shifts, or Five 8-hour shifts (Days)
The RN First Assistant practices perioperative nursing, acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, and judgment through organized instruction and supervised practice to assist the surgeon during operations. Activities must be supervised by a surgeon.
Day-one comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and employer-matched retirement funds are offered to eligible co-workers, including those working 32 hours or more per pay period.
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $7,500 for experienced OR RNs interested in the RNFA program.
