Overview:

Mercy South OR handles a variety of cases including Orthopedics, Neurology, General Surgery, and Vascular procedures. RNs are typically assigned to one of these specialty pods and may have opportunities to cross-train in other pods within the department.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Licensure: Current Missouri RN license required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required; new graduates are not eligible.
• Certifications: BLS certification required.
• Completes hospital and nursing competencies within 3 months of employment and annually thereafter.
• Preferred Education: BSN
• Preferred Experience: 2 years OR experience, with Orthopedics and Neuro preferred.
• Preferred Certifications: ACLS
