Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. Responsibilities include care coordination, patient assessment, education, triage, and other nursing interventions. The RN collaborates with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Must demonstrate competency within the full scope of nursing practice, adhering to age and population-specific standards in their clinical setting. Practice within the scopes and standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules of the state of licensure. The care delivery aligns with the ANA's Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred, including AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA accreditation. Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.
Must hold an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice and/or multistate licensure if in an NLC state. Must maintain all required department-specific licensure, competencies, and certifications.
