Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Family Practice in Long Beach, CA. This per diem role covers day shifts (8 am to 5 pm) with a pay rate of $53.00/hour.

You will provide direct patient care in our Family Practice department, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Responsibilities include directing unlicensed team members, documenting and communicating clearly, and teaching patients and families.

Qualifications

• Ambulatory care nursing experience preferred.
• 1 year of Family Medicine RN experience preferred.
• 5 years of RN ambulatory experience preferred.
• AA/BA/BSN required.
• California RN license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care per policies and procedures.

Position Summary

Utilizing the nursing process and clinical nursing practice standards, the RN is responsible for directing, coordinating nursing care for patients in accordance with clinical policies and procedures. Responsibilities include directing unlicensed team member activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/interventions, teaching patients/family, implementation of plan of care and orders, and evaluation of care rendered. The RN will incorporate the five (5) Simply Better steps with every patient and team member interaction.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• Prior nursing experience in an ambulatory care environment preferred.
• 1 years of Family Medicine RN experience preferred
• 5 years of RN ambulatory experience preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• AA or BA or BSN required.
• Current California RN License required.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
