Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking an experienced RN to join the Family Birth Center. You will coordinate nursing care, provide patient and family education, and support transitions of care within a family-centered model.

Responsibilities include triage and perioperative care in obstetrics, collaboration with obstetrics and neonatal teams, and participation in continuing education. A valid RN license and ability to work flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program, as recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of RN experience required.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.
• Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• The RN coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Leads within Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.
• May participate on committees or projects.
