Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a PRN Nursing Assistant to support the nursing team in providing patient care, comfort, and safety. The role includes assisting with hygiene, dressing, mobility, and transportation to tests on a hospital floor.

Responsibilities also cover delivering meals, recording vital signs under RN supervision, and ensuring patient well‑being. The position is hourly with 8 scheduled hours per week and located at the Florence facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in assisting with patient hygiene, mobility and comfort.
• Ability to follow directions and record vital signs under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing team with a variety of patient care activities to support personal needs, comfort and safety.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, dressing and walking.
• Change bed linens and assist with patient transportation to tests and procedures.
• Serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment.
• Record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse.
