Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time day shift (36 hours/week) from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. The nurse will use the nursing process to provide patient care, maintain accountability, and coordinate with other departments while safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited RN program and obtain/maintain RN licensure in the hiring state or a compact, with Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Must hold or obtain RN licensure in the hiring state or a compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.

Position Details:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical requirements/demands:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
