Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, 36-hour work week. The day shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The ideal candidate will graduate from an accredited RN program, maintain an active RN license in the hiring state, and hold BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire). Responsibilities include applying the nursing process to patient care, collaborating with other departments, and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Maintain current RN license per state requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.

Position Details:

Registered Nurse (RN) - Mercy Hospital SouthFull Time (36 hours/week) - Days: 7am-7:30pm

Education:

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Physical requirements/demands:

• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
