Responsibilities

The Executive Director (RN) supervises all aspects of patient care, staff activities, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and quality assurance. The Executive Director or designee will be available on-site during business hours and as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all regulations, laws, policies, and procedures related to hospice and Medicare/Medicaid.
• Be readily available on-site or by phone during business hours, with after-hours availability as needed.
• Manage daily operations and oversee the Care Management Process, including review of patient reports, paperwork, referrals, recertifications, discharges, and incident reports.
• Review monthly financial results to ensure quality care is delivered cost-effectively.
• Participate in QAPI planning, reporting, and improvement activities, including audits, patient satisfaction, financials, contracts, and complaint follow-up.

Education and Experience

License Requirements:

• Must be a licensed physician, RN, social worker, or a Bachelor's degree graduate with at least 3 years of relevant experience and 1 year in hospice or healthcare delivery.
• 3 years of healthcare leadership preferred.
• CPR certification required if providing direct patient services.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Additional State Requirements (TN):

• One-year supervisory or administrative experience in home health, hospice, or related fields. Must not serve more than one licensed organization unless under the same ownership and location.
