Job summary

Staten Island Care Center is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to provide clinical leadership during the 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift at Staten Island, New York.

The RN Supervisor will work with the Director of Nursing to ensure resident care quality, regulatory compliance, staffing coverage, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing home experience.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to make independent clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing leadership with oversight of daily clinical operations.
• Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Monitor staffing levels and ensure appropriate coverage for each shift.
• Conduct routine rounds to evaluate resident care and staff performance.
• Participate in regulatory surveys, inspections, and compliance initiatives.
• Support care planning, resident assessments, and discharge coordination.
• Oversee medication administration and treatment procedures.
• Address staff concerns and workplace issues professionally and effectively.
• Welcome and orient newly admitted residents and their families.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed.
• Assist with staff evaluations and performance improvement initiatives.
