Job summary

Trinity Health in New Hampton, IA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Medical and Surgical areas. You will provide direct and indirect patient care, supervise support staff, and ensure delivery of quality care during patient stays, including night charge coverage in the ER.

You will assess patient needs, implement care plans, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, document in the EHR, and participate in ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Iowa.
• Experience with computer software and willingness to learn new software (Excel, Microsoft, EHR, WorkDay).
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, spiritual, social and educational needs and develops the plan of care.
• Evaluates and documents patient/family responses to nursing interventions with the team.
• Communicates patient changes to coworkers and multidisciplinary caregivers.
• Identifies and solves problems; supports process improvement for outcomes and safety.
• Documents patient information in the medical record accurately and timely.
