Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for acute and critically ill patients in a Texas facility. The role emphasizes data collection, assessment, and a collaborative plan of care aimed at attaining optimal patient outcomes.

The nurse will implement interventions, monitor progress, and participate in a team-based, respectful environment that supports patient- and family-centered care. BLS is required, with ACLS/PALS/TNCC training to be completed within six months.

Qualifications

• Maintains current RN licensure in the State of Texas.
• Current BLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC within six months of hire.
• Graduate of a State approved school of professional nursing practice; BSN or MSN a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient health data and analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and outcomes.
• Develops a plan of care with prescribed interventions to reach expected outcomes.
• Implements interventions and evaluates patient progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborates with the care team, patient, family, and healthcare providers in a healing environment.
• Engages peers and other healthcare professionals to support ongoing development and quality care.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse caring for acute and critically ill patients collects relevant patient health data, analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnoses, identifies individualized, expected outcomes for the patient, develops a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes, implements interventions identified in the plan of care and evaluates the patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes. The nurse caring for acute and critically ill patients interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and other healthcare providers as colleagues. He / she collaborates with the team, consisting of patient, family, and healthcare providers, in providing patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
