Description:The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a critical access emergency room.The registered nurse will work with a team to care for patients across all age groups, including infants, children, adults, and geriatrics.Shifts will be scheduled during the day, with additional evening coverage required.Nurses will be responsible for managing various emergencies, including cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and trauma alerts.Expected patient-to-nurse ratios are between 3 to 4.The facility boasts supportive interdisciplinary services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.Special equipment includes tele-stroke technology for stroke patients.The nurse should possess skills in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, and IV management.On occasion, the registered nurse may be required to float to other units as necessary.Weekend shifts will be part of the scheduling requirements, and holiday coverage is expected.Candidates must commit to working during holidays including Thanksgiving and Christmas.References will be required to validate experience.This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment while providing essential care to patients in need.
