Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN for the ER in Washington for a 13-week assignment. The role provides comprehensive nursing care in a critical access emergency department across all ages. Shifts are days, 3x12-hour, with potential evening coverage.

Nurses manage cardiac, stroke, sepsis and trauma alerts with a patient load of 3–4 and collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory and social services. May float to other units.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year ER or related experience.
  • Valid state compact RN license required.
  • ACLS/BLS/NIHSS/TNCC certifications preferred.
  • 13-week assignment with Day 3x12-Hour shifts and 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in a critical access ER.
  • Manage emergencies including cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and trauma alerts.
  • Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 3–4.
  • Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services and social work.

Description:The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a critical access emergency room.The registered nurse will work with a team to care for patients across all age groups, including infants, children, adults, and geriatrics.Shifts will be scheduled during the day, with additional evening coverage required.Nurses will be responsible for managing various emergencies, including cardiac, stroke, sepsis, and trauma alerts.Expected patient-to-nurse ratios are between 3 to 4.The facility boasts supportive interdisciplinary services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.Special equipment includes tele-stroke technology for stroke patients.The nurse should possess skills in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, and IV management.On occasion, the registered nurse may be required to float to other units as necessary.Weekend shifts will be part of the scheduling requirements, and holiday coverage is expected.Candidates must commit to working during holidays including Thanksgiving and Christmas.References will be required to validate experience.This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment while providing essential care to patients in need.
