Description:Providing emergency health care services to patients of all ages.Care includes minor medical injuries, accidents, trauma, and various ailments.Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognizing, identifying, and interpreting serious situations.Prioritize and immediately decide upon and take proper action.Initiate appropriate measures in emergency situations when the physician is not immediately available.Operate and monitor general and specialized emergency care equipment.Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician.This includes medications and IV therapy that alters hemodynamic status, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation.Record observations, nursing interventions, and therapeutic measures administered.Document specific health care requirements for patients and prepare written assignments.Ensure proper matching of the skills and abilities of staff to the care requirements of patients.Plan and develop care delivery, implementing the plan, and coordinating the documentation of care.Share responsibilities for sustaining adequate supplies and equipment.Maintain general upkeep of the unit and help preserve a safe environment.Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.Meet pre-employment credentialing clearances, including background checks and drug screens.Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
