Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland, OH is seeking an RN for the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) to deliver care to adults with suspected or confirmed seizure disorders. You will provide direct nursing care, implement and monitor patient care plans, assess patients, coordinate discharge needs, and educate patients and families using culturally appropriate materials.

This is a full-time, day-shift position requiring RN licensure and BLS certification.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN).
• One year of acute care RN experience or military RN experience required.
• Neuro experience preferred.
• Active RN license in the state.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families with educational materials considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol.

About This Role

What You'll Do

Requirements

• Education:
• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, BSN) required.
• Experience:
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience required.
• Neuro experience preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications:
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required.
