Job summary

Carilion Clinic’s Electrophysiology Lab in Roanoke, VA is seeking an experienced RN with a strong background in electrophysiology and interventional cardiology for our EP Lab team. A sign-on bonus up to $30,000 and relocation assistance are available; specialized training is provided to obtain RCES certification.

You’ll work with a team of seasoned CVTs and CVT RNs, enjoy self-scheduling, and benefit from opportunities for advancement in a state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Institute.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia
• AHA BLS-HCP certification current
• ACLS certification within six months or in progress
• Cardiac monitoring competency required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the EP Lab with emphasis on electrophysiology and interventional cardiology.
• Monitor patients during EP procedures, including ablations and device implantations.
• Support orientation and certification processes for staff.
• Ensure patient safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to related policies.

Who are we

The Electrophysiology Lab offers state-of-the-art procedures such as Cardiac Ablations, Pacemakers, and Defibrillator Implantations. It is located in the newly built Crystal Springs Tower. The Crystal Springs Tower is a 400,000-square-foot expansion to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, and is the home of our Cardiovascular Institute and an expanded Emergency Department.

What we do

• Procedures: Pacemaker, ICD Defibrillator, leadless pacemaker, subcutaneous ICD, CRRT Device, Implantable loop recorder, and Cardioversion
• EP Studies for Arrhythmias
• Ablations: Atrial fibrillation and Ventricular Fibrillation ablation, Cryoballoon ablation, and Radiofrequency ablation
• Treatments for Conditions: Arrhythmias, Atrial fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, Supraventricular Tachycardia, Ventricular Tachycardia, and Ventricular Fibrillation

What We Require

• Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
• Experience: Critical care experience preferred.
• Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Must have valid nursing license (RN) in the state of Virginia.
• Life Support: Must have and maintain current AHA BLS-HCP certification. Must successfully complete AHAACLS within six months of hire date and maintain current status.
• Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamworking skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position. Successful completion of cardiac monitoring course required.

Compensation Range

$36.87 - $55.31

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
