The Cath lab is an ACC-accredited Chest Pain center and ACE-accredited PCI Center. As a 24/7 STEMI program the Cath Lab offers state of the art procedures such as TAVRs, Mitral Clips, Watchman/Amulet, PFO Closures, and is a high-volume PCI center. There are 6 Cath procedure rooms, located in the newly built Crystal Springs Tower. The Crystal Springs Tower is a 400,000-square-foot expansion to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital the home of our Cardiovascular Institute and an expanded Emergency Department.

The CVT I- RN assists physician with direct patient care during catheterization or interventional and device implant procedures in the scrub, circulator, and monitor positions. Delivers quality service through a team-oriented, collaborative approach to care for adult and geriatric patients.
Interacts with unit staff, physicians, management, customers, and ancillary departments. Maintains patient, staff and customer confidentiality. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development. Observes and documents data reflective of the patients' status, interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age and specific needs, and provides the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures.
Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
Experience: Critical care experience preferred.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Must have valid nursing license (RN) in the state of Virginia.
Life Support: Must have and maintain current AHA BLS-HCP certification. Must successfully complete AHAACLS within six months of hire date and maintain current status.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamworking skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position. Successful completion of cardiac monitoring course required.

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
